Welcome to Canine College, WHERE IT'S COOL TO DROOL! We are located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Canine College is a structured environment where your dog can utilize the pack skills with which he or she was born. This is where dogs are free to communicate instinctively with each other and, well, just be themselves. Our human coaches are qualified with canine management skills, breed-specific knowledge, First Aid, CPR and pack behavior training. All "students" are admitted upon successful completion of our orientation program, or "pledge" program, ensuring a friendly environment for the entire student body. We are located near the 10 Mile and Haggerty intersection and Novi border. Drop in for a tour - we love showing off! Puppies have special needs and we are here to help you! We are launching our Puppy Socialization program aka the College Prep Program. Canine College is pleased to announce that if you can't make it to the vet, the vet can make it to you! Every Wednesday is vet visit day. While your Canine College student is enjoying daycare, boarding, grooming or training, they can also attend an appointment with the visiting pet doctor for routine checkups, vaccinations, nutrition counseling ... anything short of surgery! Bonnie Braund, a Certified Instructor through the Michigan Human Society Pet Education Center, and winner of the 2008 Michigan Tails Readers Choice Award will teach several one night seminars and classes at Canine College. UPDATE: Our training classes are popular! Kari Norton, a certified Dog Training Instructor from the MHS has joi! ned our staff along with Bonnie Braund from Four Legged Rascal! s. Kari has done volunteer work in dog training since 2000, volunteered for the Michigan Humane Society Help Line and was a volunteer for the Cincinnati Zoo where she educated the public about the animals. Please help us welcome Kari and her collie mix, Riley to the Canine College familyBoarding: Your dogs do not spend their weekend locked in a crate at Canine College! We have daycare Monday through Saturday (yes ... even on Saturday) from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Your dogs who have successfully passed our temperament test will be playing on Saturdays! On Sunday they play for at least 4 hours with our staff and their fellow school chums! Take comfort that when you leave your dogs at Canine College they will be playing with their friends in the playfields even on the weekends! Daycare: At Canine College daycare, our students are never left unattended in the playfield with other students setting us apart from other daycares. Our staff is trained in dog management skills, pack be! havior and have breed-specific knowledge.
